Who we are.
TIZIRI is a curated Moroccan rug shop operated by Abdel Kebir. When we collect your personal data, we act as the data controller — meaning we decide what is collected and why.

What we collect.
We collect the minimum needed to run a small shop. Here is what that means in practice:
| Newsletter sign-up | Your email address, collected when you subscribe. Used only to send you updates about new arrivals and occasional news from TIZIRI. |
| Contact & product enquiries | Your name, email address, and message, submitted through our contact form or the Custom Design Wizard. This is sent to us via our form processor, Web3Forms, and used only to reply to you. If that fails to send, your device may instead open your own email client addressed to us directly. |
| Email correspondence | If you email us directly, we hold that conversation in our email account for as long as it is relevant to our relationship. |
We do not collect or store payment data ourselves — payment is handled entirely by Stripe, see below. We do not operate our own server or database that stores form submissions. We do not build profiles.
How we use it.
| Sending newsletter emails | Consent — you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. |
| Responding to your enquiry | Legitimate interests — you contacted us and expect a reply. |
| Business correspondence | Legitimate interests — keeping normal records of our communications. |
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third parties.
Running this site requires a small number of third-party services. Each processes data under their own privacy policy.
| Google Fonts | This site loads typefaces from Google's servers. When your browser requests them, Google may log your IP address. See Google's privacy policy. |
| Newsletter platform | If you subscribe, your email address is stored with our email marketing provider, MailerLite. See MailerLite's privacy policy. You will not be subscribed without your explicit consent. |
| Contact form processing | Messages sent through our contact form or Custom Design Wizard are relayed to us by our form processor, Web3Forms. See Web3Forms' privacy policy. |
| Payment | Purchases are completed through Stripe's own secure checkout, hosted on Stripe's servers. We never see or store your full card number, and no payment details pass through this site. See Stripe's privacy policy. |
| Analytics | We use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics service, to see aggregate traffic to this site (pages visited, general location, referrer). Plausible's standard script does not use cookies and does not track you individually across sites. See Plausible's privacy policy. |
| Hosting | This site is hosted on a third-party static hosting platform. Standard server logs (IP address, pages visited, timestamps) may be retained by the host for security purposes. |
Cookies.
We do not set tracking or advertising cookies on this site. We do not use cookies to follow you across the web or build an advertising profile.
Google Fonts may set a cookie as part of its delivery service. This is a functional cookie that does not track you across other sites.
Our analytics provider, Plausible, does not use cookies at all — it measures aggregate traffic without placing anything in your browser. If that ever changes, or if we introduce any tool that does use tracking cookies, we will update this page and add a cookie consent notice first.
Data retention.
| Newsletter subscribers | Until you unsubscribe. Once you unsubscribe, your email is removed from our mailing list. |
| Email correspondence | For as long as it is relevant to our business relationship — typically the duration of a purchase enquiry and any follow-up. We delete correspondence that no longer serves a purpose. |
| Contact form submissions | We keep the resulting email for as long as it is relevant to your enquiry, as above. Our form processor, Web3Forms, also transmits the submission — see its own privacy policy for how long it retains a copy on its side. |
Your rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data, including under U.S. state privacy laws and, for EU residents, the EU GDPR:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data where there is no longer a lawful reason to hold it
- Restriction — ask us to pause processing while a dispute is resolved
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time; this does not affect any processing already carried out

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant authority — your state attorney general in the U.S., or your national data protection authority if you are in the EU.
Updates.
We will update this page whenever our practices change — for example, if we add or change a third-party service. The date below reflects the last revision.
