The rug in motion — pile, pattern and scale. No sound.
Tafsut
1 AvailableThe one you would picture if someone said Moroccan rug. Ivory, deep, and warm underfoot long before the heating gets going.
Ivory, and not one drop of dye anywhere in it — the colour is the sheep's own. Across the field, a lattice of soft diamonds is carved into the pile rather than woven in colour, so the pattern only shows itself when the light moves, or when you do. High pile, hand-knotted in the Middle Atlas, heavy in the hand. Deep enough that people stop bothering with the sofa.
One woman wove Tafsut, once. When she finds her home, she is never made again.
