The rug in motion — pile, pattern and scale. No sound.
Wahiba
1 AvailableThe room stops being beige at the door. This is the one guests circle, the one the children name, and the one that makes the rest of the furniture look deliberate.
A large Boujaad with a vibrant tribal composition of diamond and eye motifs in red, turquoise, cobalt blue, green, yellow, and pink — the language of the High Atlas rendered in color. Hand-knotted pile, with the flat-woven foundation visible on the back. White knotted fringe at both ends.
One woman wove Wahiba, once, from what she had and what she remembered.
